The Future Link, Inc. Professional Advisory Council facilitates connections between motivated young adults and working professionals. Students who fulfill graduation requirements of the Getting Beyond the System® Seminar (GBS) are guaranteed an Informational Interview with a professional in the field of their interest. Interviews are conducted at the professional's workplace at their convenience. GBS graduates and young adults working with a NET Youth Coach also may request informational interviews to fine tune academic and career plans. We ask that all informational interviewers submit a feedback form in order for us to improve our training.
General Statement of Duties: The Professional Advisory Council secures Informational Interviews and promotes summer job, internship and job shadowing opportunities for qualified youth enrolled in the NET program. The council also advances Future Link's mission in the community. Specifically, the Council:
- Contacts professionals about Informational Interviews for youth enrolled in the NET program,
- Offers suggestions to the Future Link Board of Trustees and staff,
- Represents the nonprofit to the public, including sources of financial support,
- Assists with special program projects and events,
- Participates in fundraising events.
